Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel & St. Peter's Basilica Tour

The Colosseum was easily one of the most memorable attractions I visited during my time in Rome. Even after seeing countless photos and documentaries about it over the years, nothing prepared me for the moment I stepped inside. The sheer size of the arena is astonishing, and it’s difficult to imagine that this structure was built nearly two thousand years ago. Standing where gladiators once fought and where thousands of spectators gathered gave me a real sense of connection to history. We opted for a guided tour, and I would highly recommend doing the same. Our guide brought the site to life with stories about the gladiatorial games, Roman engineering, and the political role the Colosseum played in ancient society. Instead of simply looking at old stones, I felt like I was gaining a deeper understanding of what life might have been like in imperial Rome. The entire experience was well organized, and despite the large number of visitors, it never felt rushed. If you’re visiting Rome for the first time, this is an attraction that absolutely deserves a place at the top of your itinerary.

As someone who has always been fascinated by Roman history, visiting the Colosseum felt surreal. The audio guide provided plenty of context without being overwhelming, and I appreciated being able to explore at my own pace. The combination of ancient engineering, dramatic history, and breathtaking views made this one of my favorite attractions in Italy. I would happily visit again.
